Aspen Meadows Pack Station

10 Minute Drive from Pinecrest

Located a short 10 minute drive from Pinecrest, historic Aspen Meadow is the gateway to one of California’s most breathtaking wilderness areas. Towering granite peaks, long alpine meadows, stunning lakes and abundant wildlife are yours to explore! Aspen Meadow Pack Station is open seven days a week, and operates June through September (Weather Pending).

The horses are raised in the mountains and are trained and ridden by the Aspen Meadow staff for many years before they are able to carry a customer. This ensures sure-footedness and a comfortable ride to your destination. The riding stock is matched to your ability, whether you are a novice or a seasoned rider.

Kennedy Meadows Pack Station

25 Minute Drive from Pinecrest

Located a scenic 25 minute drive from Pinecrest, Kennedy Meadows has something for everyone, with its 1950’s charm and hospitality. For generations, people have enjoyed the rustic cabins, general store, old-fashioned saloon, horseback riding, and family style dining.

Surrounding Kennedy Meadows is the Stanislaus National Forest and Emigrant Wilderness areas. This provides opportunities for beautiful hikes and riding to nearby lakes and streams, excellent fishing and hunting, stunning scenery for the photographer and a chance to enjoy Mother Nature at her finest.

Take a nice loop ride through the meadow and along the river edge, over a bridge, and across the stream for approximately 1 hour! Great for kids and first time riders or just a quick ride before lunch! (trail varies depending on weather and trail conditions).
